The Welcome Reception will be held at the Técnico Innovation Center (TIC), conveniently located within walking distance of the conference venue.
Inaugurated in October 2023, the Técnico Innovation Center is a landmark redevelopment of the historic Arco do Cego tram depot. The project carefully combines heritage preservation with contemporary design, transforming the former industrial complex into a vibrant and versatile space for education, innovation, and knowledge exchange.
The architecture highlights the building’s original character, with its expansive halls, striking steel structure, and abundant natural light, creating a distinctive setting that bridges past and future. As a hub for Science, Architecture, Engineering, and Technology, the center embodies Instituto Superior Técnico’s commitment to fostering collaboration, creativity, and engagement with society.
