Summary and Scope
This Special Session aims to provide a low-threshold and supportive forum for early-stage researchers, including Master’s and doctoral students, to practice research presentation and engage in peer-to-peer discussion. By requiring only a one-page extended abstract describing work in progress, the session offers an opportunity for students to present ideas, preliminary results, or ongoing projects without the pressure of producing a publishable full paper. The session emphasises presentation practice, constructive feedback, and networking, supporting the professional development of young researchers.
The session is organised as part of the dissemination activities of the Marie Curie Doctoral Training Network Privacy for Smart Speech Technology (PSST), but participation is open to all early-stage researchers and is not restricted to privacy-related topics. Submissions aligned with the broader scope of Odyssey are welcome. Accepted contributions will be presented during the workshop but will not be included in the Odyssey 2026 proceedings, ensuring a focus on learning, discussion, and community building rather than publication.
